DevX: Market research firms predict that the number of cloud-based mobile apps will increase dramatically in the next few years. ABI Research says mobile cloud computing subscriptions will increase 19 percent annually from 42.8 million in 2008 to more than 998 million in 2014. In addition, Juniper Research predicts 130 enterprise users will be accessing cloud-based mobile apps by the same year.

Hoping to tap into that growing market, vendor FeedHenry has released "an end-to-end, cloud-based solution for building and deploying cross-platform mobile apps using open standards in a carrier-grade development environment."
