Microsoft, Google Eye Twitter-Like Services For Work

After testing micro-blogging applications with their own workers, the two tech giants are readying apps aimed at enterprise users.

cnet: Microsoft has been testing its corporate microblogging service, OfficeTalk, with the Office Labs team and recently mentioned in a blog post that it was expanding the service to outside companies. Similarly, Google has been using a version of Google Buzz with its workers and says that it plans to allow businesses to host their own version of Buzz sometime.

However, the two services will likely face stiff competition from Yammer and, of course, Twitter.
