Computerworld: Researchers at US-CERT have issued a warning that software shipped with the Energizer DUO USB battery charger included a trojan that gave hackers control over users' PCs. "Energizer is currently working with both CERT and U.S. government officials to understand how the code was inserted in the software," Energizer said in a statement.
The company has discontinued sales of the product. Infected users can eliminate the threat by uninstalling the software or deleting the Arucer.dll from their Windows directory. OS X users are not at risk.
