Wall Street Journal: Facebook has admitted that a problem with a software update caused messages to be sent to the wrong users for a short time. Pablo S. Torre, a user of the popular social networking site, said he received "well over 100" emails in an hour and a half that weren't meant for him. "I literally have people's private correspondence with their names attached," he said. "I'm very curious to see how Facebook deals with this."
In a statement, Facebook responded, "Our engineers diagnosed the problem moments after it began and are working to get everything back in its rightful place."
Privacy advocates point to the glitch as just one more example of privacy problems with social networking services.
