Apple has posted a job for an "Engineering Manager (Platform Bring-Up)" who will take the iPhone OS to new platforms.

Computerworld: A new Apple job posting may have tipped the company's hand about its plans to take the iPhone OS to new platforms. An posting for an "Engineering Manager (Platform Bring-Up)" reads "The Core Platform team within Apple's Core OS organization is looking for a talented and inspired manager to lead a team focused on bring-up of iPhone OS on new platforms. The team is responsible for low level platform architecture, firmware, core drivers and bring-up of new hardware platforms."

What new hardware platforms? Computerworld guesses that they might include AppleTV, the MacBook Air, servers, or other hardware devices that don't even exist yet.
