Company Saves Millions By Ending IT Outsourcing Deal

A clothing manufacturer says it has saved $3.6 million, or about 17 percent of annual IT expenses, by moving IT operations in-house.

NetworkWorld: After 13 years of outsourcing all IT operations to EDS, clothing manufacturer Kellwood embarked on an ambitious project to restructure and bring IT operations back in-house. The move saved the company $3.6 million, or about 17 percent of annual IT expenses, in just a few months. That's "three times the savings [we] originally expected and in half the time," said a company spokesperson.
