IT Pros Must Get Smart About Analytics: IBM

IBM predicts that 65 percent of an organization's users will be accessing business intelligence data within five years.

NetworkWorld: While today only 15 to 20 percent of enterprise users access business intelligence data, IBM's Jason Gartner says that number will jump to 65 percent within five years. In order to meet those needs, IT managers will need to figure out how to deliver more data, faster.

"Every bit of information you give them they ask for twice more back," said Gartner. "You give them a global headcount. The next thing they are going to ask is give me a global headcount by geography. All of a sudden, it's four times the information."
