Outlook users can now read LinkedIn updates; Facebook and MySpace connectors will be available soon.

cnet: Today Microsoft releases a beta version of its Outlook Social Connector. The service allows users to read (but not write) updates written by their friends on social networking sites. So far, LinkedIn is the only site that works with the new service, but Facebook and MySpace connectors will be released by June.

The software was previously available only through the Office 2010 beta. The new version also works with older versions of Outlook.
