At a press conference, Yahoos new vice president of search, Sashi Seth, announced, Yahoo was in search, is in search and will be in search in the future. That is a stake we have put in the ground.
For more than a year, Yahoo has been making quiet, incremental process in improving the way it classifies things. According to Wired, "New user interfaces and knowledge classification will be the future of search, and Yahoo has a deep team of talent working on the problem. And as number two, they have to innovate faster."
