Zero-Day Hack Of Oracle 11g Database Revealed

A security researcher has demonstrated a vulnerability that could allow criminals to take complete control of Oracle databases.

InfoWorld: Well-known security researcher David Litchfield has shown how hackers could exploit a vulnerability to take control of Oracle 11g databases. The hack takes advantage of a Java flaw in the database that lets low-privileged users grant themselves higher levels of permission.

Litchfield began looking for a flaw in the database when he heard Larry Ellison call Oracle 11g "unbreakable, I took umbrage at that."
