Microsoft Investigates New Internet Explorer Flaw

Users running Internet Explorer on Windows XP could be at risk.

cnet: Although it says that it knows of no attacks currently exploiting the vulnerability, Microsoft has issued a security advisory about yet another flaw in Internet Explorer. This bug, which is different than the hole used to hack into Google last month, affects those using the browser on Windows XP.

According to McAfee spokesperson Joris Evers, the flaw represents "a serious vulnerability that can expose personal information or system information that may be used in a follow up attack."

Microsoft has not yet released a patch for the flaw.
