Oracle Sues Rimini Street

In a case similar to its lawsuit against SAP, Oracle has sued software maintenance service provider Rimini Street. In a lawsuit filed with the U.S. District Court in Nevada, Oracle claims that Rimini Street stole copyrighted material using the access codes of Oracle customers. The charges are very similar to those Oracle made in a separate lawsuit against SAP. At stake are maintenance contracts, worth a total of around $11.8 billion a year to Oracle.

Rimini Street has denied the charges, saying, "We are going to fight this battle. The specific allegations we are going to be answering vigorously and aggressively when the time comes in court."
