Microsoft's top lawyer has asked Congress to give data stored in the cloud the same protection as data stored on a PC.

Computerworld: Microsoft wants Congress to pass new laws giving data in the cloud the same protection as data on a PC. It also wants tougher penalties for hackers who attack data centers.
