The family of author Phillip K. Dick, who wrote the book that was the basis for Blade Runner, plans to sue Google for the rights to the "Nexus One" name. In the movie Blade Runner the cyborgs are the called "Nexus 6," that's suspiciously similar to the "Nexus One" name Google chose for its new phone. The family of author Philip K. Dick, who wrote the book Do Android's Dream of Electric Sheep? on which Blade Runner was based, said that they plan to sue Google for trademark violation.

"Google takes first and then deals with the fallout later," said Isa Dick Hackett, daughter of the novelist. "In my mind, there is a very obvious connection to my father’s novel. People don’t get it. It’s the principle of it. It would be nice to have a dialogue. We are open to it. That’s a way to start."
