Obama to Name Howard Schmidt as Cybersecurity Coordinator

A former Bush administration official will take on the job of protecting the US government's IT systems.

Washington Post: Seven months after beginning the search for someone to fill the post, President Obama will name Howard Schmidt, a former Bush administration official, to the position of cybersecurity coordinator. In the job, Schmidt will be responsible for coordinating IT security policies across all agencies in the federal government, including the military.
