Oracle Shed Nearly 1,300 Jobs in Q2

Oracle shed almost 1300 jobs in the second quarter of fiscal 2010, but isn't saying how many of those job losses were due to layoffs.

PCWorld: A recently released earnings report shows that Oracle employed 1273 fewer workers at the end of its second quarter than at the beginning of the quarter. Total headcount at the company dropped from 84,639 to 83,366. Hardest hit were employees who provided consulting services.
